Our Mission

Our Mission at Hilltop is to help people to LOVE, LIVE, & LEAD.  We help people to LOVE God & others, to LIVE so Christ is honored, and to LEAD where they’re planted.  Hilltop Community Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God.  We believe the Bible is God’s Word.  It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

historyHistory of Hilltop

Richmond Full Gospel Temple, (known today as Hilltop Community Church) and affiliated with the Assemblies of God, began on October 29, 1926. The story of Hilltop is most importantly about life change. From the beginning as a prayer meeting in the Richmond home of Bonnie Francis to tent meetings in vacant lots, to outreaches in local parks and to spectacular dramatic musicals, we have sought to present the gospel in compelling ways so lives can be changed by God’s grace. Through the various ministries like youth and children, senior adults, evangelism, Celebrate Recovery, food pantry, small groups, drama and choir, men’s and women’s ministries, world and home missions and so much more, Hilltop Community Church is triumphantly accomplishing the task assigned to her by the Great Commission of Jesus.  We will continue to be a BRIGHT LIGHT and STRONG SALT for the surrounding cities of Richmond. We invite you to celebrate with us the victories of the past decades and to join with us that even greater things may be accomplished in the years ahead!
